Why I’ve Been Absent and What’s Next

Introduction
Hello, dear readers and followers. If you’ve been wondering why I’ve been off the radar for the past few months, this post is for you. First and foremost, I owe you an apology. My absence from YouTube, social media, and the podcast has been both unexpected and unexplained, and for that, I am truly sorry. However, I’m excited to share that I’m back and ready to dive into creating content again. In this post, I want to fill you in on what’s been happening, the changes ahead, and what you can expect from The Meat Medic moving forward.
The Unexpected Break
Life has a way of throwing curveballs when you least expect them, and that’s precisely what happened to me. Over the past two to two and a half months, I’ve been dealing with some personal matters that required my full attention. Unfortunately, I’m not at liberty to discuss the details right now, but rest assured, nothing terrible has happened.
On top of that, my family and I have been in the process of moving to a new house. If you’ve ever moved, especially with kids, you know it’s no small feat. We decided to save some money by installing IKEA furniture ourselves instead of opting for custom joinery, and while the savings were significant (around $100,000!), the process was time-consuming and exhausting.
Settling into the New Home
After two years of planning and building, we finally moved into our new home. While this is an exciting milestone, it came with its own set of challenges. We faced unexpected issues, like incorrect measurements by the builders, which required some DIY fixes on our part. Although I enjoy hands-on projects, the amount of work required was more than I had anticipated. But now that we’re settled, I’m thrilled to be back at the helm of The Meat Medic.
What’s Next for The Meat Medic?
Now that the dust has settled, it’s time to look ahead. I’m still passionate about my mission to share insights on health, diet, and lifestyle through The Meat Medic podcast and other platforms. While the name and core focus will remain the same, there are some exciting changes on the horizon:
-
Website and Content Overhaul:
My website, themeatmedic.com, will undergo some significant updates. I’m transitioning from Shopify to Podia, a platform that will allow me to better serve my community with subscriptions, exclusive content, and interactive features.
-
Introducing a Private Podcast:
I’m launching a private podcast as part of a new subscription model. This will be a weekly, shorter-format podcast where I dive deeper into health topics. Subscribers will have access to this exclusive content, which will help me dedicate more time and resources to The Meat Medic.
-
Health Courses and Community Engagement:
I’m excited to announce that I’ve developed around 20 health courses, which will soon be available on the new platform. Subscribers to the gold tier will get free access to all current and future courses.
Additionally, I’ll be hosting live Q&A sessions for silver-tier subscribers. This is a new venture for me, and I’m eager to connect with you all more directly.
New Ventures: Five Minute Fix
I understand that not everyone has the time to listen to hour-long podcasts or watch lengthy videos. That’s why I’m launching a new podcast called “Five Minute Fix.” The concept is simple: quick, concise episodes that deliver the key points you need to know in just five minutes. This podcast will be perfect for those on the go, offering you valuable insights without the filler.
In conjunction with this podcast, I’m also working on a book titled Five Minute Fix. It’s a project I’ve been quietly chipping away at for the past year, and I’m excited to share it with you soon.
A New Commitment to Consistency
One of the biggest changes I’m making is in my own schedule. I’ve finally managed to take a day off each week, which is a huge deal for me. This extra time will allow me to focus more on content creation and ensure that I can consistently deliver new episodes, blog posts, and courses without any more unexpected breaks.
Conclusion
In closing, I want to thank you all for your patience and support during this time. I’m incredibly grateful for every subscriber, listener, and follower who has stuck around. The last few months have been challenging, but they’ve also given me the opportunity to reassess and refine what I want to offer through The Meat Medic.
There’s so much more to come, and I’m thrilled to have you along for the journey. Stay tuned for new content, exciting updates, and a renewed commitment to helping you achieve better health through diet, nutrition, and lifestyle changes.
Thank you for being here, and I look forward to connecting with you all in the next episode of The Meat Medic!
